BALLET FOR GIRLS (2024 - 2025 SCHOOL YEAR)
1. Class meets once per week for 75 minutes in the Ballroom. Dancers learn French terminology and classic technique. Pre-K must be age 5
by March 15, 2025. Class fee for each 11-week term is $60 (Cost for all 3 terms: $180). Dancers stay together as a class through the
academic year. A Spring Ballet performance with free admission is held at an area auditorium the first week of June 2025.
2. Ballet Shreffler for Girls forms in the fall term and continues through the academic year. There are three 11-week terms, fall, winter and
spring. Each class group has an official outfit which is the costume for the Spring Ballet. Dancers are placed with their age group.
During fall term, dancers form friendships, improve skills and learn new steps. Winter term begins work on choreography with each
class group preparing three or more dances for our Spring Ballet. A dancer turning age eleven begins pointe if she has sufficient
training. Fitting Days for the class outfit and ballet slippers are held by appointment at the instructor’s home from August 12 -
September 6, before the start of fall term. Please phone or text the instructor, Mrs. Shreffler to make an appointment for
fitting and to confirm class placement. (937) 974-8533.
Dancers should bring a water bottle to class. No sugary drinks, please. Dancers may make up a missed class by attending a similar age
group. Dancers may wear any leotard for regular classes. Dancers wear hair up in a ponytail or bun.
3. Cost of class: $60 per each eleven-week term (fall, winter, spring). Class fees are paid 10 days in advance of each term directly to the
Troy-Hayner Cultural Center. Make checks payable to Hayner Classes. Cash payments may be made in person at the Hayner Center.

4. Cost for dancewear:
cost, paid directly to the instructor. Dancers need a dance bag for class. Dancers wear a lightweight sweater
or tee shirt, leg warmers or leggings for the winter months. During the month of May, there will be a small fee
for a costuming headpiece. Most dancers will also need new tights for the performance. Professional photos (class group
and individual photo) are scheduled for the last week of May, one week prior to the Dress Rehearsal and Performance
held first week of June. Most parents spend around $30 for professional photo packet with class group and
individual photos.
